Ghasita, 28, returns to his village near Varanasi after 10 years to find his family struggling financially. His brother, Shambhu, is unable to meet their needs. Ghasita refuses to do menial village jobs but is intrigued when he meets his childhood friend Pawaru, now wealthy. Pawaru reveals he runs a begging business and offers Ghasita a chance to join, which he accepts to support his family.

ಸುಮಾರು 28 ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಘಸಿತಾ ವಾರಣಾಸಿ ಬಳಿಯ ತನ್ನ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಮರಳಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಮರುಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರ ಶಂಭುವಿಗೆ ಕುಟುಂಬ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಣ್ಣಪುಟ್ಟ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಘಸಿತಾನಿಗೂ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಬಾಲ್ಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತ ಪವಾರು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪವಾರು, ತಾನು ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡಿ ಈ ರೀತಿ ಸುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದೇ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಜೊತೆಗೂಡಲು ಸಲಹೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ತನ್ನ ಕುಟುಂಬವನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಈ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಲು ಘಸಿತಾ ಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

Sudhir SIngh

Sudhir Singh, born in Banaras, discovered his passion for filmmaking early. He left his first degree course to follow his dream and graduated from the Manipal Institute of Communication, MAHE, specializing in filmmaking. There, he created films ranging from two-minute shorts to 20-minute narratives. In 2011, he moved to Mumbai, assisting directors like Srinivas Bhasyam, Bishnu Dev Haldar, and Jagmohan Kapoor. He has directed two short films—IN THE LAP OF GANGA and WHITE SOUL. With MANGTA JOGI, he makes his feature film debut, bringing his storytelling vision to the big screen.
