Parajya, born in a man's body but yearning to live as a woman, finds solace in joining the Devi tradition. However, his identity and choices soon come under scrutiny as masculinity seeks to control him. Despite having a pure heart, Parajya is trapped in a rigid society where even family—an essential unit of that very society—creates a suffocating reality, leaving no space for him to live as he truly desires.

ಪರಜ್ಯಾ ಗಂಡಿನ ಆಕಾರವಿದ್ದೂ ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಬೇಕೆನ್ನುವ ಆಸೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು. ಈ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ದೇವಿ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಗಂಡಾಳ್ವಿಕೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸ ತೊಡಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯ ಸೋಗು, ಕಾಮದ ಕಣ್ಣು, ಹುಸಿತನದ ಪ್ರೇಮವಿದೆ. ಶುಭ್ರವಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಪರಜ್ಯಾನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಜದೊಳಗಿನ ಒಂದು ಘಟಕವಾದ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಹೆಣ್ಣಾಗಿ ತನ್ನಿಷ್ಟದಂತೆ ಬದುಕಲು ಅವಕಾಶವೇ ಇಲ್ಲದಂಥ ನಿರ್ವಾತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

Mahadev Hadapad

Mahadev Hadapad, born on October 2, 1978, in Salapur, Belagavi, Karnataka, studied Kannada M.A. and Theatre Arts at Ninasam, Heggodu. He has worked as a director, actor, and writer in theatre and served as faculty at Ninasam, Shivakumara Ranga Prayoga School, and Rangayana, Dharwad. He later founded his theatre repertory, Aatamata, in Dharwad. Since 2020, he has also ventured into Kannada films.
