AĀJOOR follows Saloni, a resilient 10-year-old in North Bihar, as she defies societal norms to pursue her education. Despite her mother's early demise, Saloni manages household chores, assists her father, and faces societal scorn. Her father, a singer-instrument player of the Launda Dance team, supports her against all odds. The film interweaves her story with boys fascinated by social networking, offering a glimpse into the modern world's influence on rural life.

AARYAN CHANDRA PRAKASH

Aaryan Chandra Prakash, raised in rural Bihar, India, discovered his passion for storytelling early on. Inspired by Indian regional cinema, he traveled across India to explore diverse cultures. In 2018, he returned to Bihar, aiming to empower his community through film. He spent two years crafting the script for Aājoor, training non-professional actors to create an authentic community film. Aājoor (2024), his debut feature, is the first Bajjika-language film, showcasing rural life and cultural heritage. Aaryan served as the film’s director, writer, and executive producer.
