THREE COLORS: BLUE TROIS COULEURS: BLEU KRZYSZTOF KIEŚLOWSKI

Julie loses her composer husband and their child in a car crash and though devastated, she tries to make a new start, away from her country house and a would-be lover. But music still surrounds her and she uncovers unpleasant facts about her husband’s life. Slowly Julie learns to live again, as music and the gift to create it prove to be a healing force.

ಥ್ರೀ ಕಲರ್ಸ್‌ ಟ್ರೈಲಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಕಿಸ್ಲೋವ್‌ಸ್ಕಿ ಫ್ರೆಂಚ್‌ ರಿಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್‌ ಮೊದಲ ತತ್ವವಾದ ಲಿಬರ್ಟಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಕೋನವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪ್ಯಾರಿಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಈ ಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೂಲಿ ಎನ್ನುವ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಅಪಘಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಕೌಟುಂಬಿಕ ಬಂಧನಗಳಿಂದ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಅನುಭವದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಏಕಾಂತವಾಗಿರ ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹಿಂದಿನ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆದರೂ ಸಮಾಜದ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

KRZYSZTOF KIEŚLOWSKI

Krzysztof Kieślowski, a celebrated Polish filmmaker, explored complex social and moral themes in his documentaries and feature films. After graduating from the Łódź Film School, he began with observational documentaries like HOSPITAL and FROM A NIGHT PORTER'S POINT OF VIEW. His acclaimed feature films include THE BRICKLAYER, BLIND CHANCE and THE DOUBLE LIFE OF VÉRONIQUE. The DEKALOG series, inspired by the Ten Commandments, and the THREE COLORS trilogy (BLUE, WHITE, RED) brought him international recognition. He received numerous awards, including the Cannes Jury Prize and an Academy Award nomination. He passed away in 1996, leaving a lasting impact on cinema.
