Ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Lang, who was recently released from prison after serving time for murder, returns to his hometown, a place that feels both unfamiliar and dangerous. Designated for redevelopment, the town is now nearly deserted, with abandoned stray dogs roaming freely and even attacking people. After a fateful encounter with a black dog that has a bounty on its head, Lang joins a patrol team, to chase away the strays, thanks to a friend. This film is remarkable enough and noteworthy for its breathtaking scenes of the Gobi Desert and the silhouettes of wild dogs at dusk.

ಬೀಜಿಂಗ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 2008ರ ಒಲಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್‌ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಜಿ ಸ್ಟಂಟ್‌ ಮೋಟಾರ್‌ ಸೈಕಲಿಸ್ಟ್‌ ಲ್ಯಾಂಗ್‌, ಜೈಲಿನಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಂಡು ಪಾಳು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಮರಳಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಸೆರೆಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಆತ ಈ ಊರಿನ ಸೆಲಬ್ರೆಟಿ ಆಗಿದ್ದ. ಒಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ಸ್‌ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಾಗಿ ಈ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಾಯಿಗಳೂ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ಕಪ್ಪು ನಾಯಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯ ಬೆಸೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವ ಕತೆ.

GUAN HU

Born in 1968 in China, Guan studied Directing at the Beijing Film Academy and is considered one of the pioneers of the 6th Generation of Chinese filmmakers. He directed feature films such as COW (2009), DESIGN OF DEATH (2012), RUN FOR LOVE (2016) and THE EIGHT HUNDRED (2020). Notably, COW (2009) won the Best Adapted Screenplay at the Golden Horse Awards, and The EIGHT HUNDRED won Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Director at the Shanghai IFF.
